Fees - Chiropody

- £60 for a 30 minute chiropody appointment

Normally conditions such as hard skin, nail cutting, etc, can be dealt with during a chiropody consultation. There may be a charge for requesting a written summery.

Cancellation – Please give 24 hours notice if you have to cancel or you may be charged the cost of that appointment.

Fees - Biomechanics/Orthotics

- £90 for adults a one hour biomechanical assessment
- £80 for children under 5 years old a 45 minute biomechanical assessment
- £60 for a 30 minute review biomechanical assessment

If you are prescribed an orthotic insole, in addition to the assessment fee, the cost for a cast and the orthotics are:

- £80 plaster cast
- £180 pair of orthotic insoles
- A free follow-up fitting appointment

If you are prescribed an orthotic insole the cost includes a follow-up appointment where your orthotic is properly fitted into your shoe or trainer. All orthotics are guaranteed for 18 months and most casts are kept for a minimum of 2 years should you want to order more. There may be a charge for requesting a written summery.

Fees - Nail Surgery

- £60 for an initial 30 minute surgical assessment

You need an initial assessment to determine whether nail surgery or another treatment is more appropriate.

- £350 nail surgery for one toenail
- £100 for each extra toenail
- A free follow-up redressing appointment

Insurance

Rachel is recognised by most insurance companies and you may be able to claim back all or part of your fee. Note – Rachel does not accept AXA.

You pay the fee at the end of every appointment/treatment and you will be provided with a receipt to give to your insurer.
You are responsible for claiming back any fees from your insurer.
There are many different policies and levels of insurance.
You are responsible for contacting your insurance company before your appointment/treatment to confirm if you are covered for podiatry/nail surgery/biomechanics/orthotics and your level of cover.
You are responsible for obtaining authorisation from your insurance company before you start any appointment/treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient who may be in urgent need of care. Please note that appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a full cancellation fee.

Yes, Rachel Miller is a HCPC-registered provider for most major health insurance companies (not AXA). We strongly recommend contacting your insurer prior to your appointment to confirm your level of cover for a service as policies vary.
