Nail Surgery
Nail Surgery involves removing one side of the nail (partial nail avulsion), or sometimes the whole toenail (total nail avulsion). Following the removal, the affected nail bed is typically treated with a chemical called phenol to prevent this painful part of the nail from growing back.
Not everyone is suitable for, or needs to have nail surgery. If you have been recommended for nail surgery or believe that you may require it, you will have an initial consultation with Rachel for a thorough examination. During this consultation, you will discuss the best way to treat your condition and any questions you have will be answered. If you are to proceed with nail surgery, you will receive clear guidance about the pre and post-operative care for your foot. Call Highgate Podiatry on 020 8348 5553 to make your initial consultation.
The cost of nail surgery is £300 for one toe which includes up to two follow-ups for re-dressing. Rachel is recognised by most of the major insurance companies for nail surgery.
